Ingredients
- 1 box (2 sheets) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 package guava paste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2Thaw the puff pastry according to the package instructions.
- 3Unfold a pastry sheet and cut into squares.
- 4Whisk the egg with a splash of water, then brush it over the top of each square.
- 5Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the squares on top. Bake until puffy and golden brown, about 10–15 minutes.
- 6Remove from the oven and let cool.
- 7In a small pot, add the guava paste and the butter. Heat until melted, mixing well, then let cool slightly before transferring to a piping bag.
- 8Once cool enough to handle, cut a small hole in each puffed pastry and pipe the guava paste inside.
- 9Once all are filled, sift powdered sugar over the top of each one and enjoy the flakiest dessert you could ask for.
